Architectural Design

• We believe design can improve people's lives and this is the inspiration behind every single project we take on.  

• We can provide a cost-effective design for your project while maximising internal design space through effective design and selection of structural materials to achieve this. At AC House Designs we conduct all architectural design work to gain planning approval and full structural analysis for building control approval all done in-house.

• At the outset we will meet with you to gain a full understanding of your design brief for your new house extension or internal alterations. During this stage we will identify the core requirements of your project and provide our professional advice to determine if your new project falls under permitted development rights or if planning permission is required.

• After our initial meeting we would produce existing and proposed scaled drawings allowing your design to be developed into a coherent proposal. We would then arrange a meeting to review the proposed design as our primary aim is to ensure you are happy with the design.

• Once you are happy with the final design we would then submit the drawings together with a full planning application to the council for approval. As your agent we would continue to liaise with your local authority right through to the end. 

• Whatever your needs and whatever the size of your project, we can provide architectural services and full structural analysis that will aim to deliver your brief and create a space enjoyed for years to come.

 

Structural Analysis

• We conduct full structural analysis to determine the most effective and cost efficient structural materials to be used to build your new house extension. We will gain full building control approval for your project as we liaise directly with local authorities and private building control companies.

• To help your appointed building contractor we also create fully scaled construction drawings detailing how your new extension is to be constructed including full details of materials to be used. This also includes foundation details. This is all included in our service as standard.

• Due to our extensive experience we are able to define all types of foundations needed including pile foundations.

• We can also advise on any internal house modifications needed to create larger living spaces.

• We are a full member of both RICS and IStructE

Party-Wall Matters

• We can act as your party wall surveyor and liaise with your neighbour and their appointed party wall surveyor to generate a party-wall agreement to support your building project.​

• We have extensive experience in dealing with party wall matters as we have completed thousands of projects.

Planning Appeals

• We can appeal any local authority planning decision if required.
